So I recently purchased a eotech 512 and it should be here next week, but I have a probably dumb question. What kind of battery's should I be using? I want to keep them in the sight at all times but I have bad experiences with AA batteries leaking in electronics. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Neither lithium batteries (the 1.6v kind, not the 3.7v kind) nor NiMH will ever leak.
Go to Costco and pick up a pack of rechargeable Eneloops. They are very, very cheap (especially considering how many times you can re-use them). After about a month of use in my 552, I got the "low battery" warning. However, the batteries were fine-about 70% charge. It's just that they have a lower peak voltage than alkalines, so the EOTech will give you the "low battery" warning sooner. |
