I use a FF in a Larue Iron Dot on my go to carbine.  I absolutely love the setup.

That is exactly how i want it, but called Larue and they said they have not been making those mount for the Burris anymore.  Any other suggestions for tall mount

You can get a Doctor Optics for only $50 more than a FF...  I'd get the doctor optics and go with the Larue... you won't be disappointed.  Plus it has a built in BUIS.

Otherwise, Burris is now making a high mount of their own.

Burris makes an AR mount for the fastfire. Runs about $70, can find it at Midway. It is what I use on mine. I think it is more of an absolute cowitness than a lower 1/3, but I still use it with fixed BUIS without trouble. The mount has a spare battery compartment and has tools built in to remove the soft from the mount, and remove or attach the mount to your rail.
