| I have a dpms 5.56 ap4 and I want to put optics on it but I have no clue where to start.. I want to spend about 500. Would like to goto the range and dial in a 4-500 yard shot but at the same time I would like it also to be good for a shorter range as well..I don't like larger Scopes that have a big footprint .. I see a lot of people using the smaller aimpoints, but most of then project a beam without our very little magnification right? Any help would be appreciated, this is my first rifle. |

Save money and buy more ammo to practice with. Aimpoints and other red dots are typically zero magnification. Not sure what to say about a scope here other than the less you spend the bigger / heavier the scope (and the mount). Good luck and have fun. |
