My friend got his first AR. He got a Troy FS but it's too low. So can somebody help me out and advise on what sight to get please.
Here is a pic. 5.56 Flat top upper with Magpul hand gaurds.

Did he order the correct Troy Front Sight?
They sell ones that are same plane rails and ones that have the railed gas block.

There are various companies that make front sights designed to be mounted on railed gas blocks that are lower than the receiver.
off the top of my head i would say YHM, Midwest Industries, Troy

He must have bought the low profile sight. He said he didn't see low pro on the sight and assumed it was the correct height.
Thanks for the replys. Now he needs to buy the correct FS, ouch, he won't be happy...
