Have you considered a red dot like an Aimpoint or EOTech? But if you want a scope, a low power, variable, 1-4x will serve you well. Check out the Weaver V3 1-3x, Millet DMS1, Leatherwood CMR, Nikon M223, Burris TAC30/MTAC, Viper Vortex PST/HS, SWFA SS, and Trijicon Accupoint. Then there are Zeiss, Swarovski, US Optics, Nightforce and S&B.

All of the above is good info.

It is a matter of preference and purpose. If you are looking for extreme accuracy then you'll want some magnification.

If you are more interested in being able to hit human size targets quickly with speed then low to no magnification helps. You are capable of pretty good accuracy with a 1-4x scope and quite fast too.

Most consider the Aimpoint as the elite for close quarts type of shooting. Sure there's Eotech and others too.

There are other optics like the Trijicon ACOG that have low fixed magnification that are quite fast (for target acquisition) and some magnification aids in accuracy.
