I've had a few TA11's for 10 years and it's great.

The problem is, the red donut has faded. One is especially so bad, and appeared that way from the start that I can hardly see the donut at all in the dark. I have to look hard to even see the donut. The other is better but not by much. It's annoying.

Should I get a new TA11 so the donut is much brighter?
I saw a pic of looking through a new ACOG and the donut was much brighter than mine. I thought it was running on batteries but then turns out it's was the same model as mine.

Have they made other advanced in optics, say AR coating, or hydrophobic coating, or just the clarity of the optics?  I have other high-end optics like Leica or Swarovski binoculars and they new models are a vast improvement over 10-year old technology, in terms of brightness, ease of cleaning, hydrophobic coating, etc.

You can send it in to Trijicon and they'll swap out the tritium (perhaps even all the internals), but it will cost $500 + (each) from what recall.

I do not know if they have made improvements over the years or not, but I believe they have new reticles that they didn't have before. If you do send it/them in, you 'might' be able to change the reticle. I'd contact them and see what the options are and confirm the price.
