I'm thinking of putting a PRO on my 9422M using a BKL 30mm rimfire ring.
The 30mm ring I'm looking at has a strap that is 1" wide. Can someone with a PRO in hand measure the width of the factory ring and report back please? I appreciate the help. Thanks ch1966 |

The dimensions of the base (where it clamps onto the rail) might be important too. The ring might be the same/similar size, but rail contact might be just as important.
Primary Arms had a damn decent cantilever mount for $24.99. |

You might have plenty of grip on the tube, but compare the rail contact with the ring and mount shown in the pics. A single ring has 1/2 if not less contact with the rail than an Aimpoint mount does. Just something to consider. If the ring is 1" wide it will have that much contact. Being that it is going on a .22 that should do just fine. I was playing around with an M2 a couple years ago and mounted it on a single rind I had that was less than 3/4" wide and through 2-3 range outtings it held 0. I did step up to an ADM mount later on but the ring served well. |

Yea there's not a lot of options for rimfire and keeping it low to the receiver.
I'm just doing a little varmint whacking. I don't think recoil will be an issue- I'm more worried about bumping it in and out of the vehicle. The little rifle is great with irons out to 50 yards (2.5") . But out to 100, with irons I'm lucky to keep it on paper. Peeps are out - I want two eyes open field of view. So I'm going to try this and see how it does. Thanks for the help and the comments. |
