I have a 6.8 that i am building for deer hunting and i am thinking of getting the Eotech  EXPS2 I will not be doing alot of long range shooting . Also  Is $440 a good deal on one?

That's what I plan(ned) to use with my 6.8. I added an Aimpoint 3x magnifier for a little ID or for a more precise shot.

The EOTech is nice because it has a 1 MOA dot. Still won't be as accurate as a nice scope with crosshairs, but it will work well within shorter distances if you know your holdovers, etc. And $440 for a price, especially if new, is good.

I took a buck with my Eotech on my 5.56 carbine. About 30 yards out. Worked great for me. That was before i had my magnifier, now I'm even more confident with it.

I  Am still trying to decide either the eotech or a Vortex Diamondback 3-9x40
