I have an issue Im a die hard aimpoint and Eotech fan. How ever I have been hearing about alot of people using the Vortex PST 1-4 power scope on there Ar's for an everything sight. So I am asking for those who use scopes for some advice. do you find that it works just as well in CQ as well at the longer shots as a dot? Any issues with closer shots? Mainly I would be keeping it on 1 power unless out for coyote hunting. Most shots would never be over 100 yards. Should I try the new fab and get a scope for my new BCM or should I stick with what I know?

I bought a weaver 1-3x . To see if I would like the 1-4x type scopes
Its a pretty nice scope
at 1x its just like looking threw my aimpoint or my Iffytech

with practice it can be just as fast.

However
I sold the weaver a few days later.

I found that I don't have a need for a  1- 3x or 1-4x scope
It really didn't help improve my shooting by much.
I don't need to ID targets at LR

I will stick with my Aimpoint and Iffytech on my M4`s

Nice thanks for the input The only reason I want to get a scope instead of another Aimpoint is because I wouldnt mind the magnification for coyote hunting kinda making it dual purpose. But I practice alot of CQ stuff, Drills and was hoping the scope would work as good for that too..

I have 2 of the PST's.   Here is what I have come up.  At first on 1x I was not as fast as my eotechs or aimpoints.    With some range time I I am pretty quick with it now.  The big difference with any type of magnified optic is getting your head behind the scope properly.  Unlike with a RDS were if you can barely see the dot you can hit whats behind it the scope is not as forgiving but if you practice bringing up the weapon its a non issue.   Like having the 4x capability its much more accurate than a dot with magnifier and for the price you cant beat what you get.   Life time no BS warranty.      I would say the only con that I have is that when outside so its not really a CQB issue but the illumination will wash out in bright light.  Indoors for CQB no issues at all.  low light cloud cover etc.   Works perfect.  Hope this helps any question feel free to ask.
