Let me start by saying I've run out of money on my build. I have everything I need to shoot if I want to use the BUIS. I have been eye-balling the red dot that is mounted on my shot gun rifled barell. I'm trying to figure out how I know which mount and what height to use. The red dot is something generic from Dick's. It wont be pretty but it functions... Some help would be appreciated.
Some info on the rifle. Armalite 16" A3 middy upper(A2 front sight) w/ PSA MOE lower assy. The rear sight is a MATECH flip up. |
For a 30mm tube, consider a Burris XTR ring. Cheap, simple, relatively bulletproof. The extra high ring produces a lower 1/3 co-witness with my SPOT red dot. $27 at Optics Planet. Excellent bang for the buck.![]() |
| I should have told you guys a little about the red dot. It is a Truglo(I think) that has its own base. I don't need rings to mount it, just something to bring it up a bit. So my question is where can I get something like that and how do I tell how high to go? Thanks and sorry for any confusion. |

I just moved so I have random boxes of gun stuff all over but I might be able to help you. Where in WI are you? If you don't want to post it feel free to IM me. |
