Looking for a quality 2 moa rd for my 16" carbine.I'd love to get an Aimpoint M4,but don't think i'll be able to swing one for some time.I'll be running the Centurion HK style sights,i've been told they sit 2-3mm lower than standard AR sights. At this point i'm thinking an Aimpoint PRO or M3?I do NOT need a night vision option.I'm not a big fan of the micro's look, but i'd consider one.Are the battery's all pretty common to find for these?(main concern)Also, what type of mount would i need for a lower 1/3 CW since my sights are fixed, and a tad lower than normal?

The Centurion sights are HK style but they are slightly taller to be consistent with typical AR sights. That is, HK sights are lower because they have a slightly higher rail and thus height over bore. So, your Centurion sights will be "standard" height.

Batteries for either the Comp M3 or Pro are easy enough to find as are those for Aimpoint Micros. They are fairly cheap, too. So that shouldn't be a concern.

With fixed sights I like to use a lower-1/3 cowitness. This allows you to look over the rear sight and the red dot will sit over the front sight post (not directly on it, but slightly over it). To line up the sights and dot, you just lower your cheek weld slightly and they will all line up in the lower-1/3 of the optic. You could also go with absolute co-witness, but your sight picture will be much more busy. Because of this, I switched to a folding-rear setup; I prefer all folding or folding rear, fixed front. But if I had to go fixed both, I would go lower-1/3.

For a lower-1/3 Aimpoint M3 or Pro mount, I would recommend the LaRue LT-150. Bobro makes a nice mount, but it's cantilever for lower-1/3 which you may or may not want. I think you can get a lower-1/3 A.R.M.S. mount with the proper spacers.

The C4's are just a little shorter than standard AR sights, but taller than real HK's.I'm just concerned with getting a correct lower 1/3.As for A.R.M.S products,i'll never buy them again!(should have stated that)

If they are shorter as you say, then you may have trouble getting "correct" lower-1/3. That said, if you go with an absolute co-witness (here, I would recommend the Bobro 150 mount or you could use the stock Aimpoint QRP2 mount) then you should be getting a co-witness somewhere between 1/3 and absolute.

Thanks,but i don't want an absolute cw.With the fixed sights i don't think it'd be a good idea.I'll check out the Bobro!

I really like the Aimpoints. A more affordable version if you don't have the coin is the Vortex Strikefire and/or Vortex SPARC. I also like their setup you can get with their VMX3 Magnifier and new Swing Mount from American Defense:

Have you thought about Trijicon's RX01?  Smaller profile than an Aimpoint and no batteries.  I find deals on used reflex models often; usually getting them for under $250.
