what Mount do you guys prefer? this will be going on a flat top AR with BUIS front and rear. I want to keep it as light as possible and sturdy at the same time. ive narrowed my choices down to the DD mount and the LARUE mount. any other sight suggestions will be helpful as well.

If you are going flip up sights, go absolute co witness - Larue 751. No reason to go lower 1/3 if your sights will be down.

Go with the Larue tall, best mount on the market.  Besides, the DD mount is fugly.

It's also lightweight and low profile.

DD15003 all the way, I have 7 of them.

They are simple, lightweight, and reasonably priced, plus they are lower 1/3 cowitness, which is THE correct height.

I like the KAC mount. It has QD and spacers to adjust to three different heights. I find it more aesthetically pleasing than the Larue or ADM; don't care for the DD mount, but I'm sure it's decent (no QD which is a bummer). The KAC isn't designed to return to zero in the same way that Larue does, so that may be a turnoff to some (I mean, why have QD with no RTZ?). Then again, I haven't heard of any reports indicating a major loss of zero (but have read some indicating no loss).

LaRue if you want QD, DD if it QD doesn't matter. I have DD that I like, but will eventually go LaRue for the QD. Also, I prefer co-witness for folding, 1/3 for fixed. But that's just me.

I think GG&G makes the best mount for the Micro. Also, if you don't already have the sight, they offer a great package deal.

$647 for the T1 and mount.

i ended up going with the larue tall mount. should be in monday. The GG&G looked too bulky to me as i going for lightweight as much as durability

Have a couple LaRue mounts and they're fine but going to try a KAC mount.  Should have it in a couple of days.  As noted above, you pay a bit more, but it offers much better flexibility.  I use T-1s on ARs, SAGE EBRs, PS90s and Benelli M4 shotguns.  Nice to be able to use the mount with spacers as required.
