Howdy all,

Tax's are back, bought an ACOG for the AR and now turing my attention to my white tale gun.

Its a Savage 110 in .270win rocking some old school tasco that lost zero on me and now needs to go.

Not looking to spend more than 400 for the scope and rings, main concern is durability, forgiving eye relief.  Obviosly clear glass is desired but at my price you can't have it all.

My max shot is only 325yds so thinking a 3-9 or a 4-12.

Ideas?

I think the 3-9X40 Trijicon Accupoint is the best kept secret in hunting optics, granted it's above your dollar amount. Lots of options <$400...good luck!

$400 budget including rings - Burris Fullfield II or Redfield would be my suggestion.

I just picked up an older Simmons 3x-9x50 scope for my varmint AR-15.  I usually stay within the 4x to 6x range when hunting.  Follow the KISS principle.  When it breaks you won't start crying.

I bought the Redfield 3x9 last year for a new ML and I'm more than happy with it.  Don't let the price fool you, when I need another one I will be going back to Redfield.  Atleast look through one before you make a purchase.

Awfully hard to beat a good quality 3X9 for most any hunting situation.
I've had very good results with the Burris FFII and the Bushnell 3200 Series..........

I just bought a 3x9x40 30mm Burris Fullfield 30 for $289 with ballistic Plex reticle. It is a very nice scope for the money. The 1" tube Fullfield II's @ under $200 are a best buy.

eopold or nikon. Pick the one you can afford. Having had bad glass experiences at a young age I stick with the high to mid range models depending on use.
