Use the 50/200 zero to great effect. Helped with limited time and ammo.
Thanks a billion.

I've put up some charts for two bullet types and a bunch of different zeroes. Also read the article written by Sylvan in regards to what his choice for a combat zero should be. As far as the EOTech being different from the Aimpoint: Makes no difference what sight you're using. A zero is a zero. The only thing that matters is if the sight-in target provides numerical adjustment info; if one sight moves 1/2" at 100 and another 1/4" at 100, then there'll obviously be a difference. |

I am in Iraq and it is at home in the safe, so I cannot give you scope-to-bore measurements for a few weeks. Thanky!! -cvtrpr I should be able to get you pretty close. I can get you right on the money so to speak once I know your height-over-bore measurement, just let me know when you can. Stay safe over there, brother. I was there for OIF 09-11 I'll just wait till i can give you specifics....muzzle velocity, scope / bore height, wouldn't ask you to do the work twice. Thanks!!! |

Thanks for the target, sighted with ease.

This is a lot of work to do, although you have blown off such suggestions!
Thank you for all of your data, I will put it to good use. Also, thanks for fronting it out there for the war-fighters, God bless them all. |

Thanks! These are outstanding! Zero'd my 1st aimpoint in this afternoon with the 25/50/200 yds today for the 2 MOA and they worked great! Thanks again!

Used these today for my AR-15.
Any chance we could get the same sort of targets for .308 rifles??? |

tag...
thanks for the targets |

TheColter383, or anyone else out there who happens to know the answer.
Great job on the targets. I do have a question though. If I want to use the 25 yd zero sight in target for 100 yards, do I have to enlarge the target or just print them on 8.5 x 11 paper ? |

The 25 yard targets are designed to be used at 25 yards and are scaled as such to print on 8.5 x 11"paper. If you wanting to use the target at 100 yards, you would probably want to use the 50 yard target. |

Ok, maybe I wasn't clear. I am shooting on a 25 yard range. I printed out what you had posted (aimpoint 25 yd zero target for 100yd zero) via the pdf format and it just looked a little small at that distance for an unmagnified optic. The individual squares measure 1/2" x 1/2" if that helps. If I understand your post, I do not need to increase the target size ?

I know that for most printers, you need to make sure that your print scaling option is set to NONE. The targets are scaled as such to present the same sight picture as the 50 yard target placed at 50 yards. It will look small, but it is meant to. The 'aim small - miss small' concept. |

Bill, How close to airtime with a cancellation do you get when you call that number (Bill Burton)?

Very nice, thank you for the targets!
|
|

I have updated all the targets with a bold set of cross-hairs that should assist in centering the optics reticule over the target.
This pretty much negates the need for the old generic target and as such it has been removed. I hope the improvement helps everyone out there! |

Just wanted to say "Thankyou" for posting these targets. They're terrific! Used them to zero my Aimpoint PRO last night at an indoor range and the green & red circle reticles really stood out. Sometimes my eyes have trouble picking out the center of dark targets but these were great. It seemed my eye naturally wanted to hold the aimpoint dot in the center of the reticle.
Thanks! |
|
|
BRILLIANT !!! give the man a beer ..
|
|
|
used these today to sight in two rifles. one red dot and one scope. the outer ring around the center dot really helps to keep it centered properly for accurate sighting and smaller groupings. same goes for the gray horizontal and vertical lines and the scope crosshairs.
thanks |

Is each square grid 4 clicks at 1/2 MOA adjustment?
|
|
|
I don't understand. Every time I run the dope, I get 1.2" low at 25 for a 50/200, yet your targets show 2.5. Help me understand.
Eta...I read, its 1/2 scale. |

Careful of parallax at 25 yards. Yes, my M4S does have some.

May be redundant but how about a 4 moa at 25 with the correct click counts.

Good work man!! Going to use one tomorrow. I don't know why this isn't a sticky.

Sorry for being the dumb guy here but I need help. I don't know what NONE means in terms of the printer setting. I can't even find a NONE setting anywhere so some help would be greatly appreciated. Everytime I print one out the squares are about 13MM or just over a centimeter and it's my understanding they are supposed to be just under a centimeter. Thanks for any help.

They are talking about the scaling option. Set your printer options to print actual size. |

Must be doing something wrong then. I've set to print actual size and they still come out too big. Figure I can still use the targets to shoot at just adjust a little differently.
