I'm looking at the new EOTechs, specifically the one with two dots.

At first I was thinking that the second dot (presumably for long range hold over) was a little unnecessary.  I can hit NP out to 300 with a standard EO reticule and don't see myself getting the chance to practice further,

But then it occurred to me that the lower dot might also work for CLOSE RANGE holdover.  As it is if I'm taking a head-shot much under 25 yards or so I have to start aiming high,

Does anyone know if this would work or have any experience with it?
