Hey all I just had a buddy sale me his aimpoint compM for 200$. I know it is not like some of your alls new awesome aimpoints just curious if I got a good deal and how battery life is. It had two of the little 1.5 watch batteries in it but it calls for one of the 3v wasn't sure if any ody has tried both comparatively. Thanks all

I had a CompM and quickly got rid of it.
Unlike the T1, M2, and other newer Aimpoints, the CompM was rather dim and hard to use in the Florida sunshine. New batteries (both 1.5s and 3s) made no difference. I would suggest you stay away from the CompM and get any of the newer models. The new Aimpoint PRO looks like quite the deal. |

I have a CompM XD. I bought it on clearance from SWFA for $199 several years ago. It doesn't have all the features of the new ones, except durability and longevity. I have had zero problems with mine, and its still on one of my primary working guns.
Be aware, that there were some slight differences in the body shape and size. You can't really tell, but it will affect how the older Comp M's fit some current mounts. |
