So I had some bonus money left over from last fall that didn't get blown on the kids for Christmas. Ordered up a Spikes mid length ST-15 and a TA31H. I get to pick up the rifle tomorrow and the TA31H showed up today.

Oh fucking joy. I get to deal with lint inside my optic. Probably settled into that spot during shipping, but it looks about 1/4" long and god knows where it will move to next, as it is its washing out almost all the hash marks on the right side of the reticule.

Hopefully someone makes it right, but it sorta sucks to have this happen right after I sent out my SA58 for recall work to DSarms.

Now I'm scared something will be wrong with the rifle I pick up tomorrow

I needed to vent, thanks for listening.

With what Trijicon charges for the scopes I'd be pretty ticked off...  Where is the QC?

I feel your pain.  I bought a brand new ta33 with a misprinted serial number which was replaced by a ta11 with the incorrect bdc reticle installed.  I returned both to my dealer.

I understand what you are saying. You expect these things with UTG, but not with what Trijicon gets for these things. In some defense it may not have been visible when it went through QC. I am sure they will make it right, be sure you let us know  how things went.
Good Luck

It shouldnt happen but it does, with every company.  The difference is the good ones make it right.

Just dropped it off at UPS to go back to the dealer. Dealer was pretty proactive in getting back to my emails and seems interested in making it right. I tried to contact tech support at Trijicon via their web format over the weekend and have not heard back. When dealing with them probably better to call,  but it was the weekend anyways. We will see how this turns out, I'm just chalking it up to bad luck and I might be in for a wait depending on availability at the dealer (One person says they have some and another says this was the last one).

I took a couple photos with a real camera (Not my phone) and they show the contamination in a little more detail.

These things happen - it sucks, but I had no doubt that the dealer or Trijicon would make it right.
