Just ordered a Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24mm TMCQ and Vortex's branded version of the 30mm 2" cantilever QD mount from Amazon.com
I would've bought the straight ADM mount, since I kinda liked it better; but, it would've went through Primary Arms. Which would've meant that I wouldn't have gotten the scope and mount at the same time. Which I also want Saturday (and opted for Saturday shipping) since I'm an inpatient bastard.

Alright here it is, new Vortex Viper PST 1-4x24 TMCQ MRAD in a Vortex branded ADM QD mount. I'm pretty happy with it. Was a great day to sight it in. 75 degrees, and barely any wind. (Maybe 1 mph partial value 7 o clock wind.)
Best group I got whilst sighting it it. Using Winchester factory 69 grain SMK BTHP rounds.

Question on the ADM Delta QD vs Recon QD mounts....the Delta is a horizontally split mount and the Recon is a vertically split mount...pro's and con's either way? I contacted ADM Tech support and they basically said that the Recon is the "more popular" mount.... I don't really care which is more popular, unless there is a good reason for it to be so. I guess it comes down to familiarity to me...I'm most familiar with the traditional scope mounts on bolt action guns that are of the "horizontal split" variety...Educate me oh wise ones....
Does it simply come down to liking one over the other, or is there something else that I should consider? |

See how that mounting wouldn't be possible with the delta unless I had a full length top rail? Delta would be GTG for bolt guns, SCAR, and other cool guy shit I don't have
