My 6.8 12" SBR, LT-129, Comp M2, with a FUG on the 10.5" 7.62x39 above it

Awesome thing happened––-the M2 got mounted into the 129 after being zeroed in a different mount....
Then I put it onto the 6.8 and at 25yds there was absolutely no adjustment needed.  How the heck.  I'm ok with that :)

I am looking at the Larue pivot mount for an Aimpoint magnifier. Is this the right height to be used with an Aimpoint PRO in a QRP2 mount? The PRO is absolute cowitness.

What's everyone's thoughts on the LaRue VFZ line?

I got one of the ones when they first came out, and I have no doubt about the quality, but for $25 less per lever, does anyone see themselves making that choice? And for what reason?

I personally figured when I was paying $400 to $1000 for a mount/optic combo that I was going to spring the extra, especially since VFZ still takes up the same horizontal room.

Two training carbines with LT-150 mounts:

Need to buy her the lower profile version for proper cheek weld. I'll pick one up for her once I see her report card-she's been working hard in school and wants her very own Aimpoint Being a daddy kicks ass

Sig 556 Patrol with LT-104 and AccuPoint TR24-3. The optic and mount were one of LaRue's combo deals ... which saved me quite a bit of money

I used to own a LaRue Aimpoint LT129 mount.  I sold it to get something else and regret it.  The LaRue could be adjusted exactly so that it could fit any rail.  That is not true for the mount I have now.  I have one upper that it will not fit tightly on.

I also have a LaRue SPR mount.  It works great.

I've got 2 - 104 scope mounts, a 700 short action base, a standard aimpoint mount, and love them all.  Best mounts out there.

Our work guns were changed to OBR's last year as well as I got out PVS-22's changed from ARMS mounts to LARUE.   The arms were a pain in the ass to lock on the rail, and more so in the dark.  A couple times you would  think they were secure but weren't.   Larue mount is easy on and locks so no worries about a $12k NV falling off.

One thing I'd like to see Larue do is make mounts for the Tango Down QD forward grips. The ADM mounts on those are crap. I'd be all over a Larue TD Stubby.

Here are my two LaRue SPR QDs.

The first is a Leupold VX-R 3-9x40mm Patrol in an LT-104.

Below it is a big target scope, a Burris Black Diamond/Pentax 6-24x50mm with target turrets and sun shield in the higher 1.93 LT-135, needed to clear the front, yes, front folded sight.  Just barely! That scope sees limited use for load development and long range shooting.

Not pictured is an LT-137 mount to replace the right front ring half in the LT-104 to add a micro reflex sight.  I am awaiting arrival of the reflex to add the 137.

Return to zero has been very good on both mounts.

I have a LT129 (Aimpoint Cantilever) and a LT150 (SPR-E).  I especially like how exactly you can adjust the mount tension exactly how you want it.  I have used mounts from other makers in the past, and have always been able to find a receiver that they would move around on because they could not be adjusted as exactly as was required.  No "soft mounts" (to use 3rdtk's terminology) for me.  LaRue is too expensive and I would gladly buy from his competition if they had something that was as good for a reasonable price, but there is nothing as good unfortunately.

After using sever other types of mounts I discovered LaRue. In my opinion LaRue mounts are the best on the market due to the wide range of adjust-ability, solid lock up, fit & finish and they are backed by some of the best customer service in the industry. At this point I have been using LaRue optic mounts for almost 7 years. They allow me to be able to remove optics quickly for maintenance and cleaning and go back on without the need to re-zero. I am able to quickly remove accessories for cleaning, maintenance and  swapping between rifles.

Just upgraded to a FUG, have been using shorty cheaper ones for so long but finally decided to pick one up, along with a Atlas bipod combo to easily swap around on my stealth handguards as needed...  It's very much like a remote control tv, once you have it it's hard to imagine ever going without it.  The ease of quickly configuring either my 14.5 or 11.5 uppers for whatever is needed...

I have plans for an MRO to eventually live on the 12" Stealth. Which will then be used for the 50yd MOA all day non-magnified challenge. Though nothing will be done until a Larue Mount is obtainable. The rifle must be as close to full Larue as possible!

That's good to hear.  I called your shop two days ago and was told that you have a proprietary MRO mount that you were making for Trijicon directly and salesman said he didn't know when it was going to be made available for public sale.  Hope its soon

My first Larue mount was an LT104 mount.  The mount was great and reliably held zero on my cheap Bushnell 1-4x scope.

I wanted to go a different route and ended up getting a Burris FastFire II for a good deal.  I had remembered seeing the LT627 Iron Dot mounts before.  But sadly, I didn't see the FastFire model listed on the website anymore.  I gave the guys in Texas a call to ask about it.  I honestly was ready to get let down and told that they did not have the Burris model anymore.  To my surprise, however, I was told that they can make it happen!  I'm guessing this was soon after they removed them from the website.  I'm not sure if they still had some laying around or they were just being the nice guys that they are and made one more...I was happy to say the least.

I don't remember the exact time I bought my first LT627, but it's been close to 5 years.  It has served me well over that period of time with no issues what so ever.  It stays on top of the first AR I ever had, a Stag upper, DPMS lower that was built from parts I bought here and there.

Here is how the 16" sits today:

Earlier this year I came across a FF3 for a steal and I couldn't pass it up.  I had originally planned to put it on my SOCOM16 but I had other plans as I was starting to build a SBR/Pistol upper.  I knew the FastFire 3 power button would not line up with the power button cutout on the Iron Dot mount, but I wasn't going to let that stop me from trying to find another LT627 mount and have it cut to access the power button.

Just so happens that I found another LT627 mount paired with the original FastFire.  So now the FF III still resides on the M1A and my second LT627 is on my 8.5" upper as seen below.

I would never hesitate to recommend any of Larue's products to my friends...not just their mounts but everything they have to offer.  They are a top notch company that cares about the end users.

Yep, they got greedy and busted the links to millions of third party hosted pics world-wide.

They want to charge $400 per year for a service others offer for free.  There are lots of ways for a good company to make money while keeping the hosting free.  That decision, even if financially necessary due to other bad management decisions, should have been limited to new posts, not retroactive.  Brainless.  Pissed off millions of users.  Not the way to win friends and influence people.

BTW:  Mark makes great mounts.  I can remove and replace a Larue mounted 6-24x50 target scope on a 1/2 MOA or better precision AR and cannot discern a shift in POI.
