| What would be your choice of pistol use? Pros and cons of each, besides price difference. |

Well I use a Burris FFII on an FN 57 but have been studying the RMR for use on a FN FNP 45 Tactical. I find the FF dot to be hard to acquire at times and since the entire sight has to be removed to change the battery I'm worried about holding zero, even though as a practical matter the battery lasts a good while and resighting, if needed, isn't much of a burden. I also find that the locking screws on the FF are such that they are inaccessible on the FNP because the rear iron sight remains and prevents you from locking or unlocking the windage and elevation adjustment protection . In essence the FF is useless unless the rear sight is removed. Of course, most of the time they are, but not with the FNP that has a mounting area in front of the rear sight and offer the ability to co-witness and still function should the sight quit.
Leaning toward a fiber optic/ tritium RMR with a 13 MOA dot. Some claim it's too large and obscures a head sized target at 100 yds. Who shoots a pistol at a 100 yards? I want mine as a home defense and/or secondary weapons system to a shotgun or carbine and won't use it at over 50 yds max. RMR is more expensive and tritium is good for about 12 years only (fine with me) but it outweighs the benefits of the FFII which is a good, reasonably priced product, but not ideally suited to the application I have in mind.
