I searched but couldn't come up with a comfirmed answer,

What is the height above bore spec for the rails on a flattop M4 upper receiver?

I came up with 1.2", 1.185", 1.25" in my search and I don't have any precision instruments of my own to measure with.

And on this same topic –– what is the height above bore spec (or height above rails) for iron sights?

ETA: sorry if this should be in one of the other forums, this forum seemed the most relevant?

Do your really need that much precision where being .015 or .05 off will affect what you're trying to do?
