I was thinking of putting a mini dot in front of the LMT buis on a carbine but didn't want to spend five and a half bills. How do you like your Primary Arms, SPARC, Strikefires and other sub $200.00 RD's.

Whats their battery life and quality, do you turn it on/off everytime you use it and does the power wane gradually or abruptly?

Although it says for plinking purposes only, how serious do you take yours and would you trust it as a HD RD?

I love my SPARC, I use it for work and range. The Bikini covers will tear after a month or so of use. My CR battery is still working and I am still at Zero last time I shot quals.

I do turn mine off at the end of shift but I rarely keep it turned on though, only when working the field. Preacherman has a good review of it at the Vortex Industry page. The glass is pretty clear

I put it in league with AimPoint on clarity. I have beat mine up pretty good, and still works and turns on.

Primary arms is very good for the price and built like a shit brick house, not great battery life but still a great product for the money.

You do not really need to spend 500.00+ for a decent red dot, only if you want to.

Thanks.
How much increase does the SPARC have over the PA in battery life? I'm looking hard at the PA but if the SPARC has substantially more burn time than than I'll reconsider
I have an AP M3 on an M4g safequeen but want either a PA or SPARC to co witness the LMT on this RRA KISS I use all the time.

The SPARC has considerable more battery life than the current run of PA micros.  That said, the next generation of PA micros should go toe-ta-toe with the SPARC if you aren't in a hurry.

Supposedly they came in last week, if you call he can put you on a list.  Marshall might have them now.
