It does not give a natural cheek weld even with the rifle rotated so you lose the speed of access the red-dot is known for. Also, though the sight is very lightweight, it's like the straw that broke the camels back and just seems to add uneeded weight. Perhaps if LaRue made a side ring so I could mount this to the side of my scope (on the SPR mount) I'd like the idea better. Larue does make a side ring to mount to the right side of the SPR mount. EDIT: not for the PA T-1, it's for a doctor type sight. My bad. |

.. Larue does make a side ring to mount to the right side of the SPR mount. Give them a call. not for the 1" SPR mount. For 1" there's the LT136 to convert 30mm rings to 1". I take it you have a 1" SPR Mount. Would one of those inserts and the right side 30mm mount work? |

I have not tried that, but then again LaRue has not suggested it either when I asked about a mounting. Or you could get the TNVC SAR-1 and be done with it... TNVC SAR The beauty of the SAR is that you can mount the red dot anywhere you want. You are not bound by where the manufacturer wants you to put it.

That looks like it would work - thanks for the link. |

I found that the DD offset w/ Burris FF worked very well, was a quick, natural transition, and worked better being farther back. It looks like your mount keeps the RDS pretty close to the gun making the dot appear pretty high in the sight window.
