| Anyone make a removable carry handle with throw levers? Seems this would help them repeat 0. |
| Not what you want per se, but I believe there are flat rails that have throw lever, so you could mount your carry handle to the flat rail and then mount that to the upper. But that is a good idea, wonder what kind of market there would be for something like that. |

Dont necessarily need the carry handle but I do want elevation adjustment. Mounting the carry handle to the flat rail is a good idea but wouldnt that sit to high for an A2 front sight? Maybe if the rifle had a railed gas block and throw lever mount with a removable front sight???????? That might place them both at the same height?
I think a throw lever carry handle would have a good market! |
| I remember this coming up in a thread in the past year and the synopsis seemed to be that it would have a very limited market. How many of us actually keep carry handles on our rifles? How many of us not only keep carry handles that came with the rifle but choose the carry handle as the best option and/or buy one (excluding the $25 EE deals)? |

A little while back there was an Iraq/Afghanistan pic thread that showed a Marine with the carry handle of his A4 mounted as if it were a Magpul AFG. The question was raised why this was so, and someone clarified that it was SOP to keep the carry handle either on your weapon or on your person while in theater.
I'll bet Marines in theater would like a carry handle that would return to zero quickly if they had the choice to use one. Maybe I'm wrong - just speculation. |

The A4 needs to have the carry handle removed to fit in the GI armory racks. They are removed and put one slot back. When they are taken out, the handle is returned to the proper slot. They seem to retain zero, or very close to it. |

Can't you still get the LMT rear sight with elevation adjustment? You could possibly adapt the Aimpoint Micro throw lever to it. If you stuck anything under the sight, it would change the height, and then it wouldn't line up properly with the front sight. |
