[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Regular or extended scope base

I need a scope base and I'm looking at a ADM or Larue

The scope is a 1.5-5 x20 Leupold VX III

The only disadvantage I can think is the extended can possibly be to far forward limiting my mounting options in front of the scope And it is possible to get the scope to far forward

So what do y'all say :
Extended or regular
