Not a bad light. Once it was discontinued, the kit was discounted to ~$60.
Did not like the pocket clip, though. I like Mode I, as I do not have a need for SOS, and although the Strobe function is a nice to have feature, I dislike having to cycle through the other modes to get to it. I like the OP (Orange Peel) reflector, as it is less artifacty, but you do get less light with it. With two CR-123's, figure 90 to 100 minutes on full, over 3.5 hours on medium, and over 8.5 hours on low. You will get more run time by using a 17670 Li-Ion battery, but on high the output starts to go down after 10 minutes or so. Nice taper, so you can see it diminish. With the CR-123 batteries, you do not get much warning, they just die. |
