Hey all,

I'm going to find a good 3-9x or 3-12x scope for my AR, but wanted to mount a red dot at a the 1 or 2 o'clock position for my SPR.  Any thoughts on a mount or setup?  Has anybody done this?

I like the 1-4x scopes but the lightning fast target acquisition of a red dot isn't there without the illumination IMO.

Thanks!

Check out the Larue offset mount for the T1.  It is awesome.

DD makes a 1:00 offset mount
YHM makes 45 degree mounts also

My thoughts exactly, I was thinking of running something like a 4-12x with an RMR mounted on the side.

Most every mount-maker offers an offset mount for a mini red-dot.  Personally, I like the LaRues.  If you have a LaRue screensaver, there's one rifle that has a really cool-looking offset mount with some kind of adjustable markings on it.....but I can't find it anywhere.

The offset mini really seems to be catching on.  The only one I currently have is the factory ACOG with a mini attached to the top, which works fine for me, but I'm considering moving it to an offset rail mount.  I don't mind the top mount, but you do have to go from cheek-weld to chin-weld.
