i have an Armalite M-15. i ordered the mbus sights from Magpul and mounted them under my scope for backup. when i took off my scope to shoot open sights, i couldnt hit paper at 25 yards. later when shooting at 100 i noticed that my rounds were grouping about ten feet above my target 300 yards down field. i adjusted the sights as low as they would go and i was still 7 feet over my target, 300 yards into a hill side at the range. the front sight is mounted on my railed gas block and the rear is on my flat top reciever. really upset that it doesnt work. looking for suggestions and comments. this is not a stab at magpul because all my other products from them perform well.

Most railed gas blocks are lower than the rail on the upper receiver. So that is most likely your problem. Magpul also says not to mount the MBUS on a railed gas block because they get to hot and you run the risk of melting it.

agreed.
The front sight is meant for a railed hand-guard NOT the gas block.

Midwest Industires and YHM have the answer for you. I had the YHM on my .308 and it was a good one. The MI one is MCTAR-FFG  and the YHM one is just listed as gas block front flip up sight.
