I've got the 4.5x14x42 Sidewinder Tacticall on one of Air Arms air rifles. it is a very very nice scope for the money. Nice glass, excellent rreticle and nice turrets. Its no USO or S&B or Nightforce, but it is very very good for the money

Glass is good fro the money, but at that price I would not expect to have MOA knobs with a 1/2 mil redticle.

I have a Hawke Eclipse 3-9x40 IR on my 10/22, it only cost me £60 (about $40). I was desperate for a scope and wasn't expecting it to last long, but it has turned out to be one of the best scopes I have had. It's survived hunting trips with poor weather along the way, numerous range trips and sometimes some accidental rough handling and only the finish is worn. The glass is surprisingly clear at dawn too. I have the mildot reticule and to be honest I would have preferred a basic 'duplex' as the mildot lines appear too thick. The illumination isn't the most perfect, but it managed to get me on to a rabbits head with no problems. Some people like them and others don't, did I just get lucky with mine? Not sure. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another and try.

Hawke also make some higher end stuff, see review here at Sniper Central http://www.snipercentral.com/hawke624.htm
