Can I see some samples you guys have? I'm thinking about doing it to one this weekend, I wanted to see how you cut them.
Also, are there any cons to doing it? I don't see one, but figured I should ask.

Here's what I did today,

What do you use on the exposed aluminum? I tried painting it with one of those Birchwood Casey pens, but it doesn't adhere.

VHT epoxy spray paint. It is tough as nails and resists most chemicals I've tried so far. I did an 870 in it and it looks good, never chopped a carry handle though.
