i saw @ bass pro the redfield scopes today and i was quite impressed i like the 2-7 and the 3-9 the glass was nice and i really like the accuplex reticle
so this is my dilemma
its going on a 16" flat top from spikes
i guess i will need a cantilever scope so that i can get the proper eye relief.
i have a magpul mbus and a fixed front
i need a mount that will clear the front sight and that will allow the proper eye relief as well as clear the rear mbus
so what mount??
i think i will be getting the 2-7
i know larue is the best but what is available for the budget shooter
any suggestions would be appreciated thanks

the magnification in the scope will see right through the front sight except at low magnification (2-3x).  RRA has a 1 inch and 30 mm scope mount for like $50-60 thats not bad.

OK, don't shoot the messenger.

I picked up  a scope to just try on my carbine.  I have a Strikefire on it and am happy with it, but wasn't sure if I wouldn't be happier with a scope.  I picked up a cheap 30mm cantilever mount for $20 shipped on Ebay.  It's not a LaRue, but should work for average use.  Construction seems adequate until a LaRue can be afforded.

30mm

I mounted my Redfield 3-9x40mm on my AR10 using the AR-P.E.P.R. Scope Mount from Burris.  It seems like a pretty good mount with the exception that it is made in China.  You can usually fing them from $79 on up.
