If you wanted a 1.5x ACOG with a wide FOV, the TA44 has a 39ft FOV, weighs half the Primary Arms prism, is made in the US and has an actually daylight bright reticle. Instead, one of the ACOGs with the narrowest FOVs was chosen as a comparison point. There are over 200 ACOG variants that allow the consumer to select their own tradeoffs (eye-relief, weight, brightness, reticle, color etc..). The Primary Arms lineup is shallow and optimized around being low cost. I intensely dislike the Primary Arms guerilla marketing strategy of posting stuff like this on other manufacturer threads and forums and argumentative comments on YT reviewers who don't like their products. |

Understood, I was just being nice about it though as best as I could stomach and was saving those other well founded points in case this went stupid. didn't want to call him out but he's been actively pushing it in three different threads that I know of with himself picking a fight with a person who had legitimate complaints and calling that person out over spilt milk in a different thread, and it seemed very odd to push a PA optic trollish fight in a Trijicon only pic thread.

I'm not on any PA team, marketing or otherwise. I was highly critical on this board of PAs gen 1 cyclops 1x prism compared to my TA45, which is the mini ACOG that I own. PA sent me the GLx 2x for free with no obligation. I decided to compare it and the ACOG side by side and the ACOG lost hard. I switched teams. User adjustable brightness and adjustable diopter were were the primary features that won me over. ACOG has neither. The field of view was an added bonus. no adjustable brightness is a deal killer for me after using the TA45 in a match that required shooting from a dark location into bright sunlight. The reticle disappeared. here is my keychain light attempted fix, which did not work so well, that I posted earlier in this thread.  my post is as genuine as can be. send me a TA44 or whatever you'd like and I'll compare it to the PA 2x. I'll send your optic back unharmed. But you're right, this is a picture thread, and I posted the picture I needed, so I'll let it be. |

I'm in no way, shape, or form an agent of PA, marketing or otherwise. I owe them nothing. I am not being paid or otherwise compensated to promote them on arfcom. I have advocated for their product because I am personally impressed with the merits of the product, after being a vocal critic of previous products. To say that I am engaged in marketing for them is a false accusation. You are stating what you want to be true rather than what is. And by attacking the person rather than addressing the shortcomings that the ACOG has, that I pointed out with a photo, you make my point for me. The ACOG needs a serious update. The design has not changed in decades and they are being eclipsed by competitors. I still use a TA01 with an offset dot on my DM build. I'll dig out a photo of that one. |

Do you know who footed the cost for your and others "free" PA prism? By your statement, it was PA, and it almost certainly came out of the PA marketing budget. The best guerilla marketing is done by unaffiliated parties who don't know they are doing it which is one of the reasons why it is so low cost. I am certainly not alone in becoming increasingly skeptical of PA due to forum and social media behavior of those pushing PA products, regardless of how genuine the posts are. |

LOL It is, despite the current craze on LPVO, a very capable optic. It's only 5.5X. But what a 5.5X. I'd be willing to bet it will out resolve many of the LPVO at 6X. And color, contrast, definition would be superior too. If BAC works for you, and it's easier on the TA55 than you'd think, it is an actual option. And the eye box is fantastic. Better than fantastic. |

I ended up putting an RMR on top and shrugged The 25 yard notch above the apertures works ok. Elevation is too far off for the apertures themselves to be useful. It’s not ideal, but I prefer the ta-31 back farther than a rear mounted buis will allow. |

The 7rm tikka had a 4-20 atacr (35 oz) on it and the weight savings is really nice. The Niightforce did have better glass, but not enough to outweigh the weight and rotating ocular (not terrible just annoying to have to rotate the flip cap when changing mag to prevent the bolt from hitting it), and sequential push button illum. sold the atacr on the EE here and was able to buy two ten miles (they were on sale for ~$1000 but back up to $1700 on OP). It’s just one set of data but they do some durability testing on scopes on the hunting forum rokslide, and trijicons have done as well in durability tests as nightforce which is nice to know in case I accidentally knock it over or something during deer season |
