| I won't have much money for optics after my new build,so i'm looking at lower priced scopes, sightmark 1.5-5-30 or osprey 3-9-42.Does anyone have any knowledge of these two scopes? Are either any good? |

I just got a couple of the Burris Timberline scopes. One is the fixed 4X and the other is (I believe) the 3-9X. For the money they are good, but I was dissatisfied with them. I wound up sticking the 4X on my S&W MP 15-22 and the 3-9X is sitting in the closet. I replaced the larger scope with a Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9X40. Much better glass.
I can understand being on a budget, but I'd save a bit more and get a good scope and I'll tell you that the Bushnell Elite is a good scope. Not quite as clear as my Zeiss, but almost. A good budget setup for an AR as far as I've found is the Elite scope mounted with Warne permanent attach steel rings (high) using a Yankee Hill 5" riser rail. Less than $300 for the whole rig and when I shoot it doesn't feel as though I've sacrificed anything. The only drawback is that it isn't quick detachable. |

A 3200 I'll argue oh yea the Bushnell rainguard works for sure thats a plus there! |
