I recently did some horse trading and got ahold of an Acog reflex sight model RX-01-14 6.5 MOA with an amber dot. The dot does not seem very bright- don't get me wrong I can make it out quite well, but it is surly not as bright as my Eotech model 512. Is the Acog a little lighter than the Eotech, or is the Acog starting to wear out

They are definately lighter the then Eoe's....But the brighter the sunlight, the brighter the dot should appear.

Call Trijicon with the serial number and have them look at when it was born. They say half life is 11.x years but I've had a TA01 that after only 6 was pretty dim and a reflex less than 10 years old that had no juice in the H3...
