I have only about 200 rounds through my gun with the CompM3 on it.
I sighted it in at 50 yards 4" high so that I would be good at approx. 200 yards. Yesterday I tried to shoot at 100 yards for the first time since I bought it. It shoots a nice group at 50 yards with no magnafier. when I went to 100yards it still shot a nice group but It went up another four inches. I expected the bullet to drop about 2". But it actually went up to 8" above center ring. I was using a larger target with a 3" circle in the middle so it could be easily seen. I was not holding high on the center ring but right on with sandbags. Also the first group at 50 yards was with 20 rounds held about a 2" circle pattern. the second group at 100 yards was also with 20 rounds and held about a 3" pattern but It was 8" high of the center. All groups are being shot with 2005 production Lake City Ammo. I have never seen anything like this in my 25 years of shooting experince! Any Ideas out there? |

I think I understand now, I never thought of the ark in the bullet going up then coming down.. wow, i must be getting old...so if I get it dead on at 100 yards I should be where at 50 yards then where at 200 yards?
so actually the bullet is still arking up at the 100 yard mark right? |

The same should go for if you zero at 100, you should be 2" low at 50 I would assume. |
