I am trying to figure out what optic I want to put on my Les Baer. I have been thinking about an ACOG, but it doesn't seem to really fit my purposes exactly.
I have a C-More I can use for close range shooting, but for target shooting or longer range hunting I need a little magnification.

I have been thinking about saving a little more and getting a 10x US Optics scope. I think a 10x will do all I need it to.

I have been looking and the USO scopes are not cheap- even used.
Is there another scope that's comparable in quality that I might look at?
The main thing I want is a crisp, clear bright image, not more magnification. I am also almost sure I want a fixed power scope. a 1" tube wouldn't be a real problem since I won't be shooting out to 1000 yards, but I wouldn't turn down a scope with a 30mm tube and plenty of elevation. I might use it on a different rifle someday.

How about the Leupold MRT 2.5-8?  I know you said fixed but that certainly limits you at closer ranges.

I might be interested in a used Leupold like this one.

It isn't fixed either. What do you think of that scope on a 16" AR?

You have a Les Baer M4 correct?  It will look a bit much.  Have to be careful that the scope won't touch the front sight post(if you have one).  I know the MRT will work.

I have a large scope I started using just for shooting groups.  It damn near touches the fronts post of my BCM Middy.

edit- that LRT is almost 2" shorter than mine, but the eye relief is longer.
