| I'm getting ready to buy a Burris Fullfield Tactical 3-9x40 scope, and I have a question about selecting scope rings. My AR is a flat top and my 12" Omega gives me a continuous rail. I have front & rear YHM QDS buis. I want to get the Burris Extreme Tactical scope mounts. I see 4 different heights available. How do I determine which height is best for me? Is there a rule of thumb to go by? |

Don't use rings. Pick a mount from the list below and enjoy...
Best LaRue / LaRue LT-139 Good Bobro / ADM / GG&G Decent Rock River /Armalite Will make due... Burris / SWFA |
| You might look at Warne Quick Release rings for the AR platform. I was able to mount my Leupold 3x9 such that both rings we on the rail of the upper. I understand it is important not to bridge over to the forward rail for reasons of accuracy. The Warne AR rings put the centerline of the scope at the same height as factory fixed sights which would be good if you're transitioning between optics or other AR's. My Troy BUIS rear sight easily cleared the scope. Warne has a guaranteed return to zero on the QR version. Natchez Shooting Supply may still have these on sale for about $70. They come in 1-in and 30mm. |
