My next AR is going to be a 14.5" carbine that I plan to put a 1-4 scope on, haven't decided on mfg of scope.  My question is, does the front sight crowd you view through the scope?  Trying to decide if I need to spend the extra money and go with a low profile gas block or the standard one with the sight.  Don't plan to use buis but trying to save money.

You will be able to see the front sight through the scope on lower powers, but it's relatively indistinct and doesn't get in the way.

If it bothers you, get a lo pro.

Ya it probibly will bother me.  That means I'll probibly buy a barrel from adco and have them shorten and thread it for me, I'll wait to have the fh pinned.  I'm going to buy this piece by piece as money comes in.

The higher the mount the better. The shorter the sight radius the better.

Thats a great picture!  What mount have you got there for you ACOG?  How high is the center line of the scope above the flat top?  I could live that amount of cowittness.
Thanks
