I like a lower optic cause it is hard for me to make a good cheek weld at the standard height of AR sights.

So I got a T1 on a Larue 660HK mount, which is about .2" below the line of AR sights.  But it still too high for me to make a simple firm weld w/o having to make a funny face.

I was thinking about putting the T1 back on the factory base & screwing that to some sort of picatinny riser rail w/ a throw lever.

Larue doesnt' have a little throw lever rail like that.    Where could i get something like that and how much height does it add?

The new KAC mount uses spacers, maybe with no spacer it is lower than the larue 660.

I'd definitely like to see how you shoot a rifle, I have no idea how the height of the regular LT660 would be too high?

put an adjustable height stock on it. or a stock riser.  then you can use whatever size mount you want, and be able to use the iron sights.

The riser on the stock is a no go b/c I shoot NTHCH usually w/ stock in position 2.

I am really seeing it as a design issue having the charging handle the way it is.

I just have funny cheek bones or something.

The KAC mount is higher than the 660HK mount.

It's higher with no spacers?

Is the LT661 Short ..too short?

Short LT661)
QD Mount for Aimpoint Micro Sight. Gets the Micro down low to use on Shotguns, PS90's and AK's

The 660HK, not the 660, is shorter than the KAC mount.

The 661 would be too short.  The 660 would be the same hieght as the factory base.  But w/ a little QD riser rail under the facory mount it would probably be about right.
