Hello all,
Does anyone know where I might find a replacement battery cap for a black 553 sight? Any help would be much appreciated. |
| Wow, that's cool. I just opened my old 512 box and remembered where they gave me an extra set of hood screws, rail mount clamp, (2) sets of cross bolts and thumbscrews, etc. They were pretty good about it for me, but it's been a few years and Dennis Fennigan isn't there any more. Is there an EOTech rep on the forum at all these days? |
| I talked with the new CS guy there just last week. (Grant?) Anyway, he offered to not only send me a few rail clamp pieces, but also offered to peen dimples in them to get more rail bite. He also suggested I make a shim to keep the optic from floating between rails. I made one tonight out of a ladder rail piece and it worked perfectly. Maybe you spoke with someone else... |

You mean he sent you spare clamping peices for the arms levers of a 553? I didn't know the arms levers were user servicable... I've also never heard of anyone shimming the gap between the back of the crossbolt and the front the rail section behind it. Sounds like something I might want to do. Would you mind sharing a pic? |
