Folks,
I need a 4-pin front sight tool for my M-15 Armalight. I mounted a rear peep, but it still shoots too high at 100yds. Tried to raise the front post w/a bullet tip... drew blood and gave up. I could order one from Brownells, but w/shipping, it would cost twice what they're asking (forgot to include it in my last order to them, and now I really don't need... want, yes, need, no... anything else from them). Does anyone have an extra tool they could part with for a few bucks - plus shipping?? Also, if you have, or can recommend, a better post front sight, I'd be interested in knowing that as well. Not trying to cheat Brownells, just thinking you guys might be able to get rid of a surplus tool and make a few bucks. I've always gotten sound advice here, so I thank you in advance for your replies. Mike |

I don't mean to make fun of you but thousands of people have used a bullet tip with great success for over 40 years and you can't?

Listen,
I draw blood just winding my watch. Plumbing jobs can require stitches. I'd use my Dremel tool, but I'm still trying to unwrap my shirt sleeve from it the last time I used it !!!
The wife has a toe-tag filled out every time I change oil in the truck!!!
Just be glad you've finally met someone who's MAN ENOUGH to admit he's a KLUTZ ![]() ![]() NOW... Who's gonna take pity on me and send me a friggin TOOL!!!!![]() ![]()

I keep a Mayhew mini 3/32" pin punch in all my cleaning kits or in the buttstocks on A2 rifles for adjusting the front sight post.
Most of the time the sight ears interfere with the tricky sight adjustment tools and you end up spending money on something that doesn't fit and doesn't work. 3/32" punch will work great.HTH |

Airsoft??? AIRSOFT???? You can shoot out an eye with those things!!!
I guess I'll just get a nail from my pheumatic brad nailer and use it. I'm sure I have one lodged in a body part somewhere!! Well... at least we got a few chuckles out of this one!! Post in your Hometown forum and see if somebody will let you borrow a tool. |

GUYS!!!
Poblem solved!! Took the AR to my dentist - figured something like a dental pick would work just fine as a sight adjustment tool. Took the gun to his office to be sure I got the right size pick. We found one that seemed to work pretty well and raised the front sight several clicks to be sure. He looked out into the waiting room and realized all his patients were gone (along w/staff)... so he went golfing. Soon as the splint is off my trigger finger, I'll let you know if the sight adjustment works!!! Thanks for all your suggestions. Be safe!!! Mike |

Noob here..... I have heard that these FS tools commonly break the tabs off and are junk..... Tapco now has a FS tool and I like their products, usually they have a lifetime warranty on their products.. Has anyone tried it before? What is the quality? I know that ebay is anti-gun and they blow but they have this tool for $11.00 shipped...
