I've currently got an A2 build with the fixed carry handle.  I'd like to mount a scope to the sight for long-range precision shooting but I'm unsure if this would mount the scope to high making the sighting uncomfortable.  Does anyone else have optics mounted on their carry handle and how has that worked for you?

Thanks.

the 4x20 colt carry handle scope is proper for that set up

This is asked every week.  Does anyone ever read prior postings or search things?

Here is mine///

You are correct that scopes on a carry handle are generally too high.

As the other guy said the old school way was the smallish 4X20.

Gives you a step up over the irons but it isn't much of a persicion rig.

Some have put a larger scope on the carry handle then get a snap on cheek piece for the stock that raises your cheek/eye.

as the scope gets larger the eye relief (distance from eye to scope becomes a problem.

I have mounted a larger scope on my service rifle from time to time to check loads , it can be made to work after a fashion
