Hey all,
I'm looking for a compact scope in the style of the ACOG for my AR, but I'm not looking to spend $1,000 on it, as I won't be using this scope for any serious work, only plinking. Does anyone have any recommendations on which is the best FACOG for the money? Thanks! |

As far as I know, the cheapest acog runs about 900 dollars. Check this link out:ACog's at Optics Planet
You should also look into the Accupoint, no personal experience with them, but a few of the guys here have them. |
| i am speaking from experience, DO NOT BUY CLONE OPTICS!!!!1!!1 i bought a FACOG and although it worked for the first 90 or sorounds, after that it just compltely lost its zero and wouldn't goback to it. i didn't throw it around or anything, just shot it, cleaned the rifle, and put it back in the rifle bag. that's it. and it still broke! you bought an expensive rife (assuming you got an AR), so get a good optic, even a millet dms-1 (which is a 1-4 power scope) for like $200. |

Quoted:
weaver classic v3 1-3x! best value out there, depending on what "goodies" you want. +1 if you want something on the$150 range...and the millet DMS-1 for about $200.00 is a really good deal take this advice from someone who have an ACOG and a nice meopta 1-4 R1 among others. As a matter of fact I'll buy a DMS for my latest build a 16 inches BCM mid length carbine. |

Bought a cheap-o bushnell trophy for my 9mm AR build. Does what it should, no problems.
$180 at midway. http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=859535 |

I was at a gun show 5 years ago and bought 5 BSA 4-12 scopes for $70 apiece––––-for the money these were the best optics 4 still owrk the one that broke I dropped with the sunshade attached and canted the front lense.
The best scope for plinking is a 3-9 and they are cheap....Weaver 1-3 or the millet DMS are more specialized and worth the extra cost. |
