I am going to buy an ARMS #39 MOUNT for my A-2 upper. Who knows where i can get one for a good price? ARMS has them for 135.00. Is this the standard price or are there some good deals out there?

In my humble opinion you would be far better off buying a flat top upper for $100 and either swapping it out yourself or having it done by a gunsmith. Then sell the A2 for $90 to recoup almost all of your losses.

Thanks guys, I like my a-2. I do see the logic in your statement ,I'm old and i just like carry handle uppers better. Thanks for your input.

LESPAUL1, I knew a lot of people who had A2 uppers when we deployed to Iraq, they used those gooseneck mounts to put whatever optic they wanted on the rifle...Every single one of them would have traded a limb for an A4 upper, or the M4 I carried. If you like the A2 rear sight, you can buy the LMT cut down rear sight, which gives you the full A2 adjustable rear sight. Just trying to help out, best of luck with whatever you decide.
