I am not up on manufacturers or scopes. I need a spotting scope to see my target. I would like something with a variable zoom. I want a crisp image. I would like to be able to use it up to 300m if possible. I only have access to 50y and 100y ranges right now. Can you recommend me a spotting scope guys?

Will I am getting ready to purchase a KONUS 7120. They are supposed to be kickass spotting scopes for the $$ ($220/shipped). It's power is 20-60x with an 80m objective. Google it. |

Thanks , Wyr God bless Yes it does, even my Kowa wouldn't do 223 holes at 200 unless mirage was very low but obviously 30 cal. was easier. I only had the 27x LER EP but maybe the variable would be better, never tried one on mine. |

For the $$$ , it seemed the rifle scope was cheaper for the performance you got , than a spotting scope . Probably not easy to see if you had 22 year old eyes . I am about as guilty as anyone of buying cheap glass . A habit I am trying to break myself of . My brother-in-law told me years ago to spend as much on the glass as for the steel . Have not gotten there yet . God bless Wyr |
