I am looking at an Aimpoint Comp M2 but had a question about where the model and serial number are.
Do all of the M2 Aimpoints look exactly like the top picture (of course with different serial numbers)?
Or were some made that had the serial next to the model with Made in Sweden under it?

Sorry if this has been asked before or is a dumb question.  Thanks!

Mine looks like the bottom one.

I also notice the silver pin looking thing on the top that's not present on mine.

There are alot of knockoff's out there. Don't know how to tell the difference anymore. There was a post here on how to spot fake Aimponts, try doing a search.

I need some help as well. Is this real? Some things make me think it is while others look fishy. Why no flip up caps? Made in Sweden markings? No moa marking.

The mount appears to be real.

I swear I remember seeing that serial number on a bunch of fakes. However, I could not dig up the thread I remember seeing.

Any help is appreciated.

edit:: I contacted Aimpoint. It is real but it is a m68 model. It is/was owned by the US government. Any legal issues with this model?
