I am looking into putting my Micro t-1 on a DD offset mount midway down my handguard of my LE6920 (I have an ACOG on the flat). Out of the box the Micro is damn near dead center, so I am wondering aside from typical click left/right (which really I didn't need to do when mounted on the flat top) should I expect this to still be pretty well on target or will I need to really work to center this offset micro?
any info or experience would be helpful, thanks in advance! |

Just make sure the optic is secure on that mount, the mount is secure on the rail, and that you consistently look through the optic at the same angle. Yeah, I have the mount and micro locktite and pretty much as fixed as can be –– in my experience its a high quality mount and the new micro mounts are great. Also, I typically parctice using the same marker for cheek weld on acog, then tilt my weapon about 15-20 degrees and view my micro at the 1 oclock position. consistency is the only sure thing. outside of that, should i expect to hit POA/POI? thanks |

outside of that, should i expect to hit POA/POI? I am very interested in this thread. Thanks for posting OP. Using an offset T-1, can we expect the same level of speed and accuracy that we would get with a Comp-series Aimpoint or Eotech mounted on top of the rail? |

From what I have seen in my build, and dry practice (I havnt had the chance to zero and range it yet), it is very easy and very swift as long as you maintain the same cheek spot and angle. My only question is to be sure I am properly zeroed, if it is a goot zero i think this will be a fabulous match! and it works perfectly ––not to mention looks ridiculously cool (if only that mattered!) |

I'd like to see a pic of your set-up if you have one handy. I dont have a photo of mine at my office now, but this link is from the picture thread and my build on a colt LE6920 is almost identical. http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=382565&page=8 scroll a little past halfway down and you will see it, also another picture on the thread page prior to this one. thanks BEST visual I have seen –– scroll down to the second photo! http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=118&t=423762&page=4 |
| It was a little bit of a pain to sight in. Just be sure to put the rifle in a good rest and tilt the rifle so that the T-1 is dead up at 12 o'clock when sighting it in. Otherwise when you are raising the dot up, you are really going up and to the right. Make sense? |
