You want Yankee Hill Machine part no. YHM-220, it will raise your sight about 1/4 inch so that the factory iron sight plane is in the lower third of your eotech field of view. The newer generation of eotech sight are manufactured with the 1/4" height increase built in. |

There's nothing apparently "wrong" with your EoTech. Without a riser, it will have what is called an "absoulte cowittness" with the front sight, meaning that the EoTech red dot will sit on top of the front sight post when sighting through the rear sight, and the two sight systems are zeroed together. You can raise the EoTech as noted, but if the two sight systems are co-zeroed, the red dot will still sit on top of the front sight post when looking through the rear sight––the front sight post will just be in the lower portion of the EoTech field of view.
I've tried mine both ways and prefer the front sight in the milddle of the field of view or "absolute" cowittness. Just a personal preference. |
