OK it's been over a week and no bites on selling my Dick's  gift card on the EE, I'm probably going to WD it and use it towards an optic....It will either be a

Bushnell Holosight  (Eotech 511 w/o protective hood-2 year warranty fog/water/shock proof )

or

Burris XTS-135 Speed dot

i just got my holosight and if you weren't already prepared for it, the outer circle looks "pixilated" or "blurry" and only the center dot looks solid.  but i love that <1 MOA center dot for more precision on shots further out.

The basic insides are a 511, but thats where the similarities end.  It chews batteries quicker and has no protection.  That protection isnt just for looks.  a good rap on the tower will f-it up.  If you dont plan on any rough stuff, I'd go with it.  Only because I dont trust Burris.

For a other option a used EOTech is better.  You can buy something with a high demand and trade it for a used EOTech.  The item doesnt need to be of use to you, but in high demand....think Magpul CTR, LaRue (anything), DD rails..whatever.

Or I am on a C-More ATAC kick right now.  ATACs are made of hard anodized aluminum, and can take a serious beating.  I just picked up a CTAC and will be upgrading it to a ATAC soon.  That will make 2 ATAC and a EOTech for me.  I dont like tube optics, but I am hard on my weapons so strength and durability is a requirement in an optic.  Dont believe the BS about C-More TACs.  Its all based on old shit from the plastic ones and anyone who has used a new ATAC knows its combat rock solid.
