Hey, just got in a brand new eotech 557 + 4x magnifier. My buddy somehow managed to get finger prints all over not only the magnifier but the glass on the 557 when handling them. My other rifle hasn't been getting much action and has a scope cover so I've never had to clean it. Anyone recommend a good cleaning kit for optics or if something like lcd cleaner and a microfiber pad which I have would work? Thanks,

Yup...just plain ol' acetone. Buy whatever you can get at the hardware store. Nothing special.
If you are wondering what kind of dispenser he is using...it's a "Menda" push-top dispenser. It also works great as you can do all of the cleaning pretty much one-handed. Good Luck. |
